SRIRACHA SEA SPICE TOMATO SOUP

SRIRACHA SEA SPICE TOMATO SOUP

Because soup season has begun and homemade tomato soup + grilled cheese is the ultimate comfort combo 😇

For this tomato soup you will need:

3 lbs tomatoes 
1 onion 
1 head of garlic 
2 tbsp olive oil 
1 tsp SRIRACHA SEA SPICE
1 tsp salt 
1 tsp onion powder 
1/2 cup fresh basil
3 tbsp fresh thyme
1/2 cup vegan sour cream 

Slice the tomatoes in half and slice the onion into chunks. Place on a baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil on top, a sprinkle of salt, and the sriracha sea spice. 

Slice the top off of a head of garlic and place in aluminum foil. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt & pepper, then close the foil over so the garlic is completely covered. Add the garlic foil packet to the baking sheet.

Bake for 35 minutes at 350°

Remove from the oven and then peel the skin off of the tomatoes, then transfer to a blender and add in the 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp onion powder, basil, thyme, and sour cream, then blend until smooth. Do a taste test and add more spices as desired. I added a bit more onion powder and sriracha sea spice!

Serve with grilled cheese and enjoy!
