SRIRACHA SEA SPICE CHICKPEAS

Easy peasy tasty chickpeas - especially good as a snack on their own, tossed on top of a salad or on savoury rich avocado toast!

Made with our signature Furikake style seaweed seasoning - sriracha flavour spice mix uniquely made with dired kelp flakes.

  • 2 TBSP Sea Spice Sriracha
  • TBSP premium oil of choice (olive oil or avocado oil)
  • 1 can / 20 oz canned chickpeas
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper

TO MAKE:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Drain and rinse chickpeas in a strainer, and pour them out on a few paper towels to dry.

  3. In a medium bowl: add 1 TBSP Sea Spice Sriracha, 1 TBSP olive oil and the drained chickpeas - allow to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Pour chickpeas out onto your lined baking sheet and spread out evenly so they aren’t touching each other. Bake for 10 minutes, give the pan a good shake, and bake for another 10 minutes ensuring all sides of the chickpeas get cooked and are nice 'n crispy.

  5. In a small bowl make your spice blend by combining the other TBSP of sea spice sriracha, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.

  6. While hot from the oven, sprinkle seasoning blend over chickpeas and toss well to coat. To cool, transfer them over to a clean paper towel and give them 5 - 10 mins to chill out, your little tasty treats will crisp up as they cool.
